In the greater Pittsburgh area's South Hills. Likely McMurray/Bridgeville area.
Our target is late fall of 2025 - subject to change!
Our sim rigs will be top of the line - we're not looking to be an arcade, and we aren't adding a one off sim pit to our gaming cafe. Our business is built around the fun but authentic sim racing/flight studio concept at the forefront, not an afterthought. Your premium experience is our goal.
Here are the systems we are looking at bringing in:
Sim Rigs: Monstertech, Podium 1
Racing Sim Controllers: Simagic, Asetek, Simucube, etc
Flight Sim Controllers: Virpil, Moza, Thrustmaster, Honeycomb
See... we know what we're talking about - no cheap gear here. Our systems will be between $20-$40k each.
We're working on that. Eventually - yes!
If you're a coach and want to offer sim coaching to our customers, send us a note and we'll trade coach time for sim hour credits.
Corporate team building events and hosting customers in a fun novel experience will be essential to our success. Once we get fired up, give us a call and we'll craft the right experience for you.
We may have small snack items available for purchase, but we're happy to allow outside food and may even be able to order catering for you (away from the sims of course).
Want to play bigger part in our success? Consider pitching a sponsorship and we'll work something out.
A: Think of it this way: an arcade setup is like playing a racing game with a toy steering wheel and pedals. It's fun, easy to jump into, and forgiving. You'll likely use a controller or a very basic force feedback wheel, and your primary goal is casual entertainment.
A serious sim racing rig at Simwerks, on the other hand, is built for immersion and realism, aiming to replicate the experience of driving a real race car. This means we're investing in:
The difficulty curve is steep. Moving from an arcade setup to a serious sim rig on iRacing is a challenging transition. You'll need to learn advanced car control techniques, understand complex physics, and develop muscle memory for precise inputs. You'll likely spin out, crash, and finish last more times than you can count initially.
However, the reward is immense. Once you start to master the sim rig and the sims demanding physics, the satisfaction of consistently turning fast laps, executing perfect overtakes, and battling wheel-to-wheel with other serious racers is unparalleled. It's a journey of continuous learning and improvement that can genuinely translate into a deeper understanding of racing dynamics and car control. If you're passionate about motorsports and crave a truly authentic driving experience, the Simwerks experience is absolutely worth it.
Sim racing is expensive and we're trying to build an affordable experience that builds a community. Can those co-exist? We've done extensive market research on both the venues that have succeeded and failed - we're following in the paths of those who have succeeded.
We have a clear vision, but we are in need of vested individuals who want the project to succeed. We're fairly well funded and have another round of funding arriving in early 2026 pending a successful launch - but more investment may help get spun up faster and fit a few of the last pieces of the pie together. Reach out or check out investor page if you're interested in joining the movement.
Simwerks is currently being structured as single member LLC. Dependent on interest, other options are available. Again our goal is an affordable sim racing venue that builds a community and aligns with our vision that Simming Is Going Social - Sim racing at home is great, but at venue with friends is unbeatable for the enthusiast - so we are a business to make a profit, but building a sustainable community is the number 1 priority.
